“2019 Sponsorship forms for Hometown Hero banners”

• Hometown Hero banner sponsorship forms will be available at the Montgomery Borough Office and Montgomery Weis Store starting in January 2019. Price is still $210. EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT, 15% off ($210- $31.50= $178.50), if purchase Banner by April 5, 2019. Forms for Early Bird discount must be in by April 5……after that date price will be $210 and must be in by September 6. Montgomery Banners are associated with the Lycoming County Hometwon Heroes, Inc.(LCHH). Sponsorship forms will state Montgomery at top of form and will be displayed in Montgomery. • Montgomery Council is seeking a registered elector to fill the open position created by the resignation of Councilman Jim McCarty. The individual must reside within the borough continuously for at least one year immediately prior to the his/her appointment. Please submit a letter of interest to the borough office (mail or drop-off) by the close of business Friday, Jan. 25 @ 3:30 pm. Special meeting will be held Monday, January 28 @ 6:30. Each elected borough officer must present a signed affidavit that states they have resided within the borough for the required time.

• the borough will accept letters of interest to serve as mayor for the year.

In the interim, the council president will serve as mayor for 30 days. After which, the council will accept the letter; however, the new interim mayor will only serve for the remainder of 2019. Should this person wish to finish out Hoover’s term — about two more years — they will have to appear on the ballot in May and election in November.
