Montgomery Historical Society

The Montgomery Historical Society was organized in 1964, by Rev. Adam Bingaman and Darius Shollenberger. To promote and encourage historical research and study historical records, publications and collections. The Adam Room (The Historical Society Museum) was opened on August 11, 2012, coincided with the Montgomery Quasquicentennial celebrations. It is located at 3 W. Houston Avenue (below the Public Library). The museum hours are the 2nd Saturday of every month, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The Society presents Third Thursday Programs (3rd Thursday of every month) begins at 6:30 p.m. Please refer to Montgomery Historical Society Facebook for details of upcoming programs. Also, Montgomery Borough Facebook and Montgomery Borough website (montgomeryborough.org). December and May are reserved for Stone Church events.
